Transforming a disjointed online mortgage customer experience was a huge project for Nationwide. I was the lead UI/UX designer working within an agile team that completely re-designed the experience of multiple complicated online journeys including switching your mortgage deal, making overpayments and changing the term.

Adding new patterns and components into the NEL design system

Contributing to the continued development of the Nationwide Experience Language formed an important part of designing new online journeys. While working as lead UI/UX designer within the mortgage hub team I would add or improve new patterns and components and make sure the experience across journeys was consistent.
